After a long successful career in the financial sector since 2008, the founder, Rokibul Islam, decided to leave the conventional finance industry. His heart was no longer in it. The year was 2014, in the month of Ramadan. While working in the industry, Rokibul saw how unsuitable conventional finance products were for Muslims in Australia and wanted to find a better way. If we are to grow our Super, buy a home, and leave a will, why not do so in a halal way?
Rokibul started his Islamic finance journey with an Islamic finance provider. He grew the business steadily for the next few years while raising awareness about halal investing and finance. Equipped with skills, knowledge, and expertise, Rokibul believed he could contribute to the Australian Islamic finance sector and help Muslims grow.
The big dream was to build an Islamic wealth management company catering to Australian Muslims. The service would offer a holistic approach to financial planning, including superannuation, investments, home finance, will, and retirement strategy. A one-stop shop for observing Muslims.
The dream came to reality in March 2020 when Meezan Wealth Management opened its doors to its first customers. Meezan rapidly expanded its product range and customer base.
